Dryhead Ranch- Horses for Sale
American Quarter Horses from Dryhead Ranch
Dryhead Ranch has been raising and selling registered American Quarter Horses for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on the fact that the first breath our foals take is in big, rough country with no human assistance. Before we ever lay hands on them they already know how to handle themselves in rough terrain, cross water, and navigate the elements of nature. Call or e-mail to inquire today!
2012 AQHA Bay Gelding
“Scooter” has been saddled a few times and will soon be ready to head outside and see some miles. He is good minded and won’t take long to be outside riding through cattle during calving.
2012 AQHA Bay Gelding
“Hank” has a nice start and is coming along really nice. Soft in the face and moves really even and correct. Tagging calves, riding through heavies, and doctoring are being added to his resume now.
2013 AQHA Dun Gelding
Grandson of Doc O Dynamite and super shapey. Mom is one of our saddle mares and is sure enough cowy. Smart and comes off of pressure in a hurry but quiet. Have put a few rides on him, moves out well and is athletic.
2015 AQHA Dun Stallion
Dun stud colt that was born late and will be weaned in the early spring. Siblings before him have been gentle and good minded. Should be a nice, gentle colt with a lot of color.
2015 AQHA Red Roan Stallion
Growing even and straight on all four corners. Full sister to this colt is exceptionally great, she is so kind and willing and I expect he will be the same.
2011 AQHA Brown Mare
Out of one of the favorite mares and she is a sweetie. Put together nice and smooth with a nice leg and foot underneath her. Has been saddled a few times but no riding to date.
2012 AQHA Sorrel Mare
Consigned to “REAL” Ranch Horse Invitational Sale
Really pretty filly that is bred to watch a cow and is gentle with a good amount of go. She is consigned to the “REAL” Ranch Horse Invitational Sale in Billings, MT April 16, 2016. Click the link to view video and additional photos. http://realranchhorses.com/lotnumbers/lot60.html
2013 AQHA Sorrel Mare
Big hip, nice bright eye! Sorrel in color but you won’t find one more shapey. Really nice filly out of a son of High Brow Hickory and a granddaughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey. Going to be nice size with a lot of bone and muscle. Halter broke and ready to start.
2013 AQHA Red Roan Mare
Super refined and put together really nice. Good to be around, quiet and really soft on the end of your halter. Out of a son of Gumbo Roany and granddaughter of Smart Little Lena. Saddled and ridden a few times and sure seems to want to please.
2014 AQHA Dun Roan Mare
A nice, big filly that is really pretty. Have ridden her mama and she has proven herself not only as a saddle horse but now as a great producer as well. Halter broke and ready to start this summer.
2015 AQHA Dun Mare
Muscular all over and a very pretty filly. Siblings are good to be around with a good amount of movement. Half sister to Delightfully Gumbo and Tally Up My Dynamite.
2015 AQHA Red Roan Mare
Keen headed, ties in cleanly in her throat latch, and a pretty shapely body to go with it. Siblings to this filly have been gentle, very personable and great to be around.

Third time and keeps getting better! A big thanks to Jake, Sky, Jennifer, Jackie, Cannon, Suzie, and everyone else at the Dryhead for making my third trip to the ranch so much fun. We really got to experience a little bit of everything last week! The other guests and I really got along and seemed like had I had known them for years instead of just a few days. The warm family atmosphere at the…read more→
